There are several definitions of CB multi-layer circuit board splicing! One is convenient for customer plug-ins, one is convenient for manufacturers to produce by themselves, and one is for saving materials! Convenient plug-in is the way the customer requires, and you must do it as required. The convenient production of PCB multilayer circuit board manufacturers is convenient for V cutting and so on. To save materials is to use the materials more perfectly without wasting them, or to leave too much leftovers! For example, if the material is 1 meter 2 by 1 meter, you will be perfect when you open a 34X41CM panel.
The jigsaw must take into account the connection between the PCB multilayer circuit boards, there are generally 3 types: V-cut (V-CUT), stamp holes and hollow connecting strips. V-cuts are often used for ruled boards, as long as two PCB multilayer circuit boards are put together, leaving a gap (the gap of V-cuts) between them. Stamp holes are often used in special-shaped boards, and multiple via holes are punched at the sub-connections of the PCB multilayer circuit board. Hollow connecting strips use very narrow plates for connection, and are often used in plates with half-hole technology.
Is it good to cut the V of the PCB multilayer circuit board or the stamp hole?
1. V cut
V-cut, also known as V-CUT, is to draw a slot at the connection of two PCB multi-layer circuit boards, where the connection of the board is relatively thin and easy to break. It is enough to merge the edges of the two PCB multi-layer circuit boards together when assembling. In addition, V cuts are generally straight lines, and there will be no complicated routing such as curved arcs, so you can try to be on a straight line when imposing. Note that there is a gap for the V cut between the two PCB multilayer circuit boards, generally 0.4mm. V-secants can be represented using 2D lines placed on all layers.
Since the V-cut can only go in a straight line, it is only suitable for the panel connection of the regular PCB multilayer circuit board. For irregular PCB multilayer circuit boards, such as round ones, stamp holes need to be used for panel connection. Shenzhen Zhongke Circuit will introduce the stamp holes below.
2. Stamp hole
Stamp hole is another connection method of PCB multi-layer circuit board splicing, which is generally used in special-shaped boards. The edges of the two PCB multi-layer circuit boards are connected by a small plate, and there are many small holes at the connection between this small plate and the two PCB multi-layer circuit boards, which is easy to break.
It is called a stamp hole because the edge of the board resembles the edge of a postage stamp after it is broken.
3. Hollow connecting strip
The connection method is similar to the stamp hole, the difference is that the connecting part of the connecting strip is narrower, and there are no vias on both sides. One disadvantage of this method is that there will be a very obvious bump after the PCB multi-layer circuit board is broken, and the bump of the stamp hole is not very obvious because it is separated by the via hole. In that case, why use this method? Just use the stamp hole directly. In fact, there is a situation where stamp holes and V-cuts cannot be used, that is, when making a module with half holes all around, it can only be connected at the four corners of the module through hollow connecting strips.
