Why does the PCB circuit board appear "black disk"? Simply put, the gold plating is too thick, causing the nickel to oxidize and corrode to form a blackened pad. It will make poor soldering of the pads. This is when there are a large number of dense small pad icon devices, such as BGA, QFP, SOP packaged devices, black disks will be formed especially.
Because the small pad is compared with the large pad, the gold immersion time per unit area is short. The immersion gold of the small pads has met the thickness, but the large pads have not. It also needs to prolong the gold sinking time. In this way, when the large pad is immersed in gold, the gold of the small pad is a little too thick. If the gold is too thick, the probability of the underlying nickel being oxidized is high.
