With the development of the electronics industry, the development of PCB circuit boards is promoted, and higher requirements are also placed on the production process and surface mount technology of printed circuit boards. The plug hole process came into being. The plug hole of the PCB circuit board is generally after the solder mask layer, and then the second layer of ink is used to fill the heat dissipation hole with a diameter of less than 0.55mm. Why do PCB circuit boards need to plug holes?
1. Prevent the surface solder paste from flowing into the hole to cause virtual soldering and affect the mounting.
2. The plug hole of the PCB circuit board can avoid the flux residue in the via hole, and can maintain the surface flatness;
3. When there are vias on the BGA pad, plug holes must be made first, and then gold-plated to facilitate BGA soldering;
4. The plug hole process can prevent the tin from penetrating through the guide hole and cause a short circuit when the PCB circuit board is over-wave soldering, and prevent the tin bead from popping out during the over-wave soldering process, resulting in a short circuit of the PCB circuit board;
The PCB circuit board plugging process can be described as various, the process flow is particularly long, and the process is difficult to control. At present, the common plugging processes include resin plugging and electroplating filling. The resin plugging is by plating copper on the wall of the via hole and then filling it with epoxy resin. Finally, copper is plated on the surface of the resin. The effect is that the hole can be turned on. And there are no dents on the surface, which does not affect the welding. Electroplating fills the vias directly by electroplating, without voids, which is good for welding, but requires high process capabilities.
