Solder mask is a thin varnish-like polymer layer typically applied to the copper traces of a printed circuit board (PCB) to prevent oxidation and prevent solder bridges from forming between closely spaced pads. Solder masks are not always used to hand solder components, but are essential for mass-produced boards that are automatically soldered using reflow or solder bath techniques, and are traditionally green , but now available in a variety of colors. The following is the process of screen printing technology, as follows:
1. Surface cleaning: Use alcohol to clean the stains on the surface of the plexiglass of the screen printing machine.
2. Fix the screen frame: fix the screen frame on the screen printing machine and tighten it with the fixing knob.
3. Preliminary positioning: Adjust the position of the PCB in the circuit board factory, so that the position of the holes on the PCB is consistent with the positions of the corresponding holes on the silk screen frame.
4. Adjust the position slightly: turn on the alignment light source, adjust the X/Y/Z direction to adjust the PCB position, so that the pattern on the PCB of the circuit board factory (Shenzhen circuit board factory) is exactly the same as the pattern on the screen frame.
5. Scratch ink: The staff of the circuit board factory (Shenzhen circuit board factory) will use a scraper with one hand and the other hand to press the screen frame in the area where the pattern is evenly coated with a layer of silk screen printing ink, and then scrape 45 by using a scraper.
