Circuit boards are an indispensable part of electronic equipment in today's technological age. The advent of PCB provides a variety of functions for electronic products to make circuit integration possible. It is mainly composed of pads, vias, mounting holes, wires, components, connectors, fillers, electrical boundaries, etc. The main functions of each component are as follows:
Pad: A metal hole for soldering component pins.
Vias: There are metal vias and non-metal vias. Metal vias are used to connect the pins of components between layers.
Mounting hole: fixed circuit board.
Wire: The copper film of the grid used to connect the component pins.
Connector: A component connected between circuit boards.
Filling: Copper plating of the ground wire network can effectively reduce impedance.
Electrical boundary: Determine the size of the circuit board. All components on the circuit board cannot exceed this boundary.
Circuit board classification:
According to the number of layers, PCBs are divided into three categories: single board, double board and multilayer PCB.
Single-sided, on the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side, and the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because the wires only appear on one side, this kind of PCB is called a single-sided circuit board.
The double-sided board is an extension of the single-sided board. When single-layer wiring cannot meet the needs of electronic products, double-sided boards may be required. There are copper-clad wires on both sides, and the wires between the two layers can be conducted through vias to form the required network connection.
Multilayer board refers to a printed board formed by stacking more than three layers of conductive patterns and insulating materials at intervals, and the conductive patterns are connected to each other as required. Multi-layer printed boards are the product of the development of electronic information technology in the direction of high speed, multi-function, large capacity, small volume, thinness and lightness.
