Conformal paint is a specially formulated coating used to protect circuit boards and related equipment from environmental erosion. The conformal coating has good high and low temperature resistance; after curing, it forms a transparent protective film, which can be protected from vibrations such as chemical substances (such as fuel, coolant, etc.), moisture, salt spray, humidity and high temperature circuit from damage. Under these conditions, the circuit board may be corroded, mold growth and short circuit, etc., with excellent insulation, moisture-proof, anti-leakage, dust-proof, anti-corrosion, anti-aging, anti-mildew, anti-part loosening and insulation corona resistance performance. .

Moisture is the most prevalent and destructive major factor on PCB boards. Excessive moisture can greatly reduce the insulation resistance between conductors, accelerate high-speed decomposition, lower the Q value, and corrode the conductors. We often see the patina on the metal part of the PCB circuit board, which is caused by the chemical reaction of metal copper without conformal paint, water vapor and oxygen.
Coating conformal paint on printed circuit boards and components can reduce or eliminate electronic product performance degradation when it may be affected by adverse factors in the operating environment. If this three-proof paint can maintain its function for a satisfactory period of time, such as longer than the service life of the product, it can be regarded as having achieved its coating purpose.

Is the three anti-paint toxic?
Whether the conformal paint is toxic or not depends on the type of conformal paint thinner and solvent used. If the conformal paint uses toluene and xylene as thinners, these chemicals are harmful to the human body. little. Xylene is moderately toxic, irritating to the eyes and upper respiratory tract, and in high concentrations, has anesthesia effect on the central system.
